Policy Statement
Admissions to Open University of Somalia shall be open to all adults; there are NO strict admission requirements for any person above 18 year. However, Prior Experience and Education is added advantage. Admissions into Open University of Somalia shall be conducted under the guidance of the University Admission Board. Open University of Somalia offers Graduate Degree Programs, Undergraduate Degree Programs, Associate Degree programs, Diploma Programs and certificate programs.
Purpose
To streamline the admission of candidates who apply for admission into the various programs of the University.
Scope
The policy applies to all admissions to Open University of Somalia

Criteria for Admission
In order to qualify for enrollment in Open University of Somalia, the applicant must meet the following conditions:
1. A graduate of an accredited high school or satisfactory completion the General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency (HSE) test.
2. An official college/university transcript is an acceptable document to prove high school graduation if an applicant is currently attending or has previously attended. For a foreign institution, the transcript must be evaluated by an organization recognized by Ministry of Education, Culture, and Higher Education of the Federal Republic of Somalia
Required Materials
1. A completed application form
2. Non-refundable application fee
3. Academic diploma/school transcript (at least high school) or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
4. A copy of a photo ID (passport, driver’s license, Birth Certificate)
5. Student enrollment agreement form
