Undergraduate Transfer Credit Policy
- Grades for prior academic credit must be a C or higher
- The student must complete at least 25 percent of the required credit hours at Grantham University to earn the degree
- Students may not transfer in credit for Capstone courses
Academic Credit
Open University of Somalia accepts transfer academic credit from institutions accredited by Ministry of Education, Culture, and Higher Education of the Federal Republic of Somalia or the Committee for the Higher Education. Previously taken courses that are out of date in regards to latest developments, practices, or technology are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may not be eligible for transfer. Prospective students are responsible for reporting all previously attended colleges and universities for which they wish to have earned credits evaluated for transfer into a Open University of Somalia program. Responsibility falls on the student to ensure official transcripts are on file for all previously attended institutions so that an accurate evaluation can be conducted by Open University of Somalia.
Transferability of OUS Credit
Open University of Somalia is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education.
Acceptance of transfer of credit earned at Open University of Somalia is determined by the institution to which the credits will be transferred.
Although Open University of Somalia makes every effort to enhance the transferability of credit to other institutions, a student should always contact the registrar at the college or university of interest to determine whether credit from Open University of Somalia will transfer to that institution
